This morning David drove me at 5:30 to the monterey airbus. We almost missed it of course because my mom's clock was 10 minutes slow.
After one last solid experience of bay area traffic, I was at SFO. I checked my bag because I have super long trekking poles and my knife. Of course Virgin lost my bag in San Diego, so I had to wait around at the airport for them to find it....not that I have much else to do today.
In the span of 2 hours in san diego, I met two pct hikers. The first, Sara, was in the seat in front of me on my flight from sfo. She is also starting tomorrow morning.
Nightshift I met at the santa fe train station. He is on mile 400 and something, at the andersons, which he highly recommended.
Some categories I might occasionaly record over the course of my hike:
Food: eh, i'm not really that hungry yet...i'm stuffing myself with a burrito right now as a preemptive strike.
Song: radio kalingrad, handsome furs
Also, keep us posted on the condition of your shoes!!!
